15 Bafflingly High Rotten Tomatoes Scores You Won't Believe

13. Juno

Critical Consensus: "One of the brightest, funniest comedies of the year, Juno's smart script and direction are matched by assured performances in a coming of age story with a 21st century twist." Why It's Wrong: Again, not a terrible film, but just an achingly self-conscious one with its laser trained at hipster film fans. It's difficult to get completely invested in the pregnancy storyline when the movie is so concerned with seeming hip and cool, what with hamburger phones and dialogue like "That's one doodle that can't be undid, home skillet." Why The Critics Liked It: Critics have to watch hundreds of movies per year, and something this original simply breaks up the monotony of endless bad horror movies, rom-coms and CGI-driven blockbusters. Given how many pat, cliched pregnancy dramas pundits have surely had to sit through over the years, to see a film approaching the subject from a different (and more liberal) angle was enough for them to wave it through.
