15 Behind The Scenes Photos That Will Ruin Your Favourite Movies

7. Mock-Up Middle-Earth

Warner Bros. PicturesWarner Bros. PicturesIf there's one thing we took away from 2005's King Kong it's that Peter Jackson likes to go in heavy with CGI and the green screen. The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit franchises are so beloved and engrossing that we forget that most of what we're seeing is computer-generated as well. Other than the Shire, Rivendell is arguably the one area in both trilogies where the viewer feels most at home. The idyllic Elven forest city is an oasis of peace in war-torn Middle-Earth. Knowing that this place of sanctuary is little more than a string of code will come as deeply upsetting news to all Lord of the Rings fans.

6. "You've Got Nothing On Joker"

Warner Bros. PicturesWarner Bros. PicturesGoing into 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, Bane had some very big boots to fill after Heath Ledger captivatingly twisted Joker. Though he didn't top Ledger's performance, Tom Hardy's character still proved to be an excellent villain in his own right. Bane's physical presence in each of his scenes meant that we could actually believe that this super-villain could lay the smack-down on an ageing Batman. Several awesome encounters between Bane and the Bat establish the two as mortal enemies and ensure that The Dark Knight Rises is a suitably awesome end to a fantastic trilogy of films. However, seeing the two supposed enemies cracking wise with each other in full superhero attire certainly challenges the notion that the two cannot co-exist in Gotham.
