How very fitting that a character whose every line of dialogue requires permanent caps-lock to sufficiently express goes out not with a whimper, but with an unbroken stream of shrieking.

Perhaps in space no-one can hear you scream, but viewers had heard Hudson’s constant, grating declarations of doom and gloom loud and clear throughout the film. The power of positive thinking is apparently quite lost on Private Hudson as his typical response to even the slightest obstacle is to immediately abandon all hope and yell things like “THEY’RE GONNA GET US!”

So it’s to general satisfaction that “the ultimate badass”, amongst a blistering barrage of gunfire and defensively manly screeching in an attempt to fend off waves of unrelenting alien warriors, is dragged through the very floors to a grisly fate.

The specifics of his death are left to the imagination of the viewer, so depending on your hate for Lt. Hudson, pick your poison. If the aliens intended to cocoon him like so many others however, they’d best have started by covering his mouth. Game over man, game over!
