Chris Evans is at it again. In his time off between MCU appearances, the Captain America actor squeezed in another comic book movie Snowpiercer. This South Korean sci-fi film - based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette is definitely worthy of your time, if you have access to the American Netflix library. Snowpiercer is all about a train that circles around a post-apocalyptic world thats been plunged into a new ice age. On board, society has become segregated between the upper and lower classes. Evans plays Curtis, a member of the lower-class section that mounts a revolution against the bigwigs. What follows is a claustrophobic, gritty action movie, with a jaw-dropping amount of high calibre actors. Alongside Evans youll see Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, John Hurt and Octavia Spencer inhabiting the many carriages of the Snowpiercer locomotive. Together, the cast and crew (director Bong Joon-ho really deserves a massive blockbuster job after this) elevate what could be a cheesy B-movie into one of the finest comic book movies in recent years. A TV remake is already in the works, but you wont want to miss the original.
