4. Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey

Westworld Yul Brynner
Orion Pictures

Unlikely heroes, Bill & Ted, are a couple of dim-witted high schoolers, inexplicably destined for greatness with their band "Wyld Stallyns".

In the far future, their music has inspired an idyllic utopian world, but not everyone is satisfied with this frivolous existence. To change the future, a disgruntled citizen creates evil robot replicas of the iconic duo and sends them back through time to ruin their reputations.

In the present, Bill & Ted meet their robotic doubles, with deadly consequences, and must traverse Hell, do battle with Death and enlist the help of a bizarre alien being to defeat their evil doppelgangers and restore order to the universe.

Bogus Journey is a fitting sequel to the delightfully absurd original (Excellent Adventure). It's dumb, crass and ridiculous but it's also absolutely hilarious and loads of fun.
