15 Best Horror Movies Of 2017

10. Creep 2

Creep 2 Mark Duplass
Blumhouse Productions

While 2014's Creep was one of the standout horror films of the year, a sequel wasn't exactly a no-brainer. In fact, the finale to the original outing was so neat that audiences were confused as to how the team were going to produce a follow up when the intentions of Mark Duplass' psychopathic villain had been laid bare.

However, rather than adopting the same structure as the first movie, making the audience wonder whether Duplass' untrustworthy narrator was actually a psychotic serial killer or just a straight-up nut, the sequel inverts it, having the character revealing his own murderous history to a documentarian who doesn't believe him.

Just like the 2014 movie, Creep 2 constantly defies your expectations, and while it can't quite capture the same sense of surprise and mystery present in the original flick, it still does a damn fine job of being as unsettling as possible.
