This new documentary from filmmaker Robert Greene (Kate Plays Christine) examines the infamous 1917 Bisbee Deportation 100 years later - in which 1300 striking miners were forcibly deported from Arizona to New Mexico - by visiting the town and asking contemporary residents to perform a re-enactment.

Gimmick docs are a dime a dozen, but Bisbee '17 has been lauded as a bold experiment in digging into the past, examining the passage of time and society's general desire to forget past atrocities rather than learn something from them.

With its uniquely American context and Green's powerful direction, this is a doc like nothing else.
