8. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
All of the Star Wars films (save for The Rise of Skywalker, which will be arriving soon) are available on Disney+ and, due to the generally high quality of most of the franchise, they're some of the best films currently on there.
Aside from Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace and the aforementioned Avengers: Endgame, Star Wars: The Force Awakens was probably the most anticipated film of all time and it's safe to say everyone was positively s**ting themselves prior to its release. Would it be a complete let-down? Thankfully, not at all.
The Force Awakens is a delightful, heart-warming and brilliantly-made adventure with an irresistible spirit that many modern blockbusters lack. It has also faced criticism since it's been called a remake of A New Hope. These claims are somewhat justified, so let's call The Force Awakens the greatest remake of all time.
Cracking action sequences, effective humour, great characters, wonderful visuals and (dialogue-wise) the best screenplay in Star Wars history add up to one of the best Star Wars films ever and frankly Oscar nominations (aside from just the technical ones) should've been on the cards. After all, it was one of 2015's finest films.
