2. Lando Calrissian – Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
Lando Calrissian is one of Star Wars' most iconic characters, for no other reason than how effortlessly cool he is.
First appearing in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, we meet Lando while he is serving as Baron Administrator of Cloud City on Bespin. Introduced as an old friend of smuggler Han Solo, we learn that Lando once owned the infamous Millenium Falcon before Han won it from him in a game of cards.
Lando's attempt to remain a legitimate businessman are complicated by Darth Vader's presence in Cloud City, and Lando turns to help the rebels escape the Empire's clutches.
He becomes a powerful figure in the Rebellion, advancing to the rank of general before delivering the final blow to the DS-2 Death Star during the Battle of Endor.
Lando is still going strong in the events of Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, where he once again joins forces with the Resistance as they battle the First Order.
