15 Biggest Box-Office Movie Bombs Of The Decade

13. Jupiter Ascending (2015)

The Wachowskis have had a pretty difficult decade. They haven't stopped making some damn good movies, between Speed Racer (yes, it's good) and Cloud Atlas, but their attempts at major blockbusters have failed to resonate with audiences.

Admittedly, Jupiter Ascending probably had no chance. The ambitious sci-fi flick was trashed by critics, with Eddie Redmayne's performance in particular being singled out, which didn't help the already risky project find its footing.

With a budget estimated to be as high as $200 million (absolutely crazy for a property that isn't exactly a known quantity), the film couldn't even recoup that, landing just shy of $184 million in BO receipts. When all was accounted for, the flick apparently lost as much as $124 million, which could explain why Lana Wachowski's next project is another Matrix sequel.
