All the movies so far, even if you haven't actually seen them, you've probably at least recognised. I'd wager the same can't be said for Mars Needs Moms, the completely forgotten animated Disney movie from 2011.

Produced by Robert Zemeckis, the flick chronicled a nine-year-old boy called Milo searching for his mother after getting herself abducted by Martians. It was about as fun and interesting as it sounds, and acted as another major misstep for Disney at the dawn of the new decade.

There's no pinpointing exactly why the flick tanked though. The only competition it had was Battle: Los Angeles (another film you forgot existed), reviews were lukewarm but not terrible, and it had enough charm to play well with the kids.

Whatever the reason, the film only made $39 million against a $150 million production budget, losing well over $100 million. At the time, it boasted the 12th worst movie opening of all time, and is still considered a complete disaster.
