The Mission: Impossible movies keep on getting bigger and bigger, as Tom Cruise attempts to outdo the last one and defy death in the process. Fallout was the next evolution of this, with a number of INSANE stunts, any one of which would've been the centrepiece of the earlier movies, but here are just part and parcel of the film as a whole.

The question of how you top what happens in the movie is something director Chris McQuarrie has already spoken about before. He previously admitted to feeling bad for whoever had to follow Rogue Nation because of that challenge, only to do it himself and pull it off. He's since said similar about Fallout, although it remains to be seen whether he'll be back again (but here's hoping).

Whether it's McQuarrie or someone else, though, it'll still be Cruise as the star, and it's going to be fascinating, thrilling, and a little bit terrifying to see just how far they try and push things next time out.
