15 Characters That Nearly Appeared In The Suicide Squad

12. Punch & Jewelee

Deathstroke Suicide Squad
DC Comics

Like Peacemaker, Punch & Jewelee originally belonged to Charlton Comics but were absorbed into DC Comics during the 1980s. They are a supervillain couple who've modelled their personas and weapons off of marionettes. They may sound silly (even by comic book standards), but anyone foolish enough to underestimate the twisted pair learn to regret it shortly after.

Jewelee is a gifted deceiver, which would make feel right at home on Task Force X. Punch is a master of disguise and an astounding escape artist - two traits that would prove effective on the squad.

Because Punch and Jewelee are circus-themed lovers, many readers described them as the the couple that Harley Quinn and Joker try to be. Because of this, their inclusion in The Suicide Squad would've been interesting since they could've created a lot of tension with Harley.
