15 Characters That Nearly Appeared In The Suicide Squad

Because James Gunn's films have talking trees, wise-cracking raccoons, and cycloptic starfish, it's unmistakably obvious that the director embraces the otherworldly. That's why it's no surprise that Gunn strongly considered including one of the weirdest comic book characters ever into The Suicide Squad, Chemo.

Chemo was originally a 25ft-tall plastic container used by a scientist called Ramsey Norton. When Norton's chemical experiments failed, he poured them into this container to motivate him not to fail in the future. Eventually, all the chemicals gained sentience (because that's how science works), turning the Chemo vessel into a radioactive killer kaiju.

Since Chemo is a big ball of death-inducing gas contained inside a glass suit, it's hard to tell how James Gunn intended to implement him into the film.
