15 Most Controversial Movie Moments Of 2014

The moment's that turned everyone's heads and made them stare...for better and worse.

2014 has of course been full of unambiguously awesome movie moments, from seeing a boy age over the years in Richard Linklater's Boyhood, to the ridiculous action of The Raid 2, the insane effects of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and everything else in between. These moments have, however, pretty much been praised to death by this point, so what better time to consider the more questionable moments that stirred up a ton of controversy over the course of the past year? From bizarre scenes involving A-list actors going to the toilet, to off-colour jokes, divisive finales, shocking deaths, not-so-casual racism, unexpected nudity and so on, 2014 delivered daring cinema in spades, and whether or not each scene completely washed with most viewers or not, they undeniably got people talking. With this list ranging from art-house fare to huge Hollywood blockbusters, animated films, mid-budget actioners and everything else in-between, it's safe to say that the film industry held no punches this year in provoking audiences. And in the interest of courtesy, it's probably best to avoid clicking on the #1 entry if you haven't seen The Interview yet and want to remain unspoiled about how the film ends. Without any further ado, here are the 15 most controversial movie moments of 2014!
