5. A Serbian Film
As with Pier Paulo Pasonlini's Salo, it's impossible to conceive of a list of sexually depraved movies without including Sran Spasojevi's A Serbian Film, which introduced the world of arthouse cinema to the concept of "newborn porn". While Spasojevi maintained that A Serbian Film was intended as a commentary on his country's civil war - and few would argue that this film doesn't depict human nature at its most thoroughly debased and degraded - whether or not this thematic subtext is enough to reconcile the audience with the sexual violence and murder is open to debate. Our "hero" finds himself unwittingly caught up in a snuff movie production after agreeing to appear in what he believes will be a regular porno - the trail of severed heads and eviscerated bodies sees him descend into a form of hell on earth which most viewers wished they hadn't embarked upon by watching this film.
