10. Calendar Man
Why He's Awesome
Calendar Man has rather unfairly garnered a reputation for being something of a comic figure, despite the fact that he's an arch criminal - albeit one whose gimmick makes him fairly easy to track. His most interesting appearance - and indeed the one that would work best in a film - sees him reimagined in The Long Halloween as a sort of Hannibal Lecter-like figure who "helps" Batman find the Holiday killer, who he then tries to destroy in fear that he himself is being forgotten.
Weirdly, he's arguably more dangerous behind bars than he is outside. That renaissance was a brilliant move and turned a third string, comedic character into a great, very relevant one, and his story deserves to be told.
How Likely Is He?
If the rumours that Ben Affleck is going to adapt Arkham Asylum are true, you'd suspect Calendar Man would indeed make an appearance, but as a stand-alone, top-billed villain, he might be a little too left-field. 5/10
