15 Films That Hated London

11. Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer

The Synopsis - Though not ranking anywhere amongst the finest film adaptations of Marvel properties, two films based on the Fantastic Four did decent business at the box office. The second of these, Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer, introduced the titular Silver Surfer to the soon-to-be-rebooted series and its lead foursome of Mr. Fantastic (Ioan Gruffudd), the Invisible Woman (Jessica Alba), the Human Torch (Chris Evans) and The Thing (Michael Chiklis). His arrival on our planet creates havoc around the globe and he is pursued by the team, which leads to them discovering that he is merely a servant of the planet-devouring Galactus. They must subsequently stop his arrival and consumption of Earth, eventually teaming up with the reformed Surfer to do so. The Destruction - One of the stops on the Silver Surfer's tour of Planet Earth is London, where his actions result in the draining of the River Thames. The London Eye also seems set to collapse after it begins to buckle, though the enormous wheel is saved by the quartet's arrival.
