15 Films You Need To See In 2013

1. Foxcatcher

foxcatcher tatum ruffalo The last film on my list is the latest offering from Bennett Miller, Foxcatcher. Miller's Moneyball was one of my favorite films of 2011, so I'm curious to see more of his work. This movie is based on the true story of John du Pont, a paranoid schizophrenic who killed Olympic wrestler David Schultz. On paper, the cast looks very solid. Steve Carrell - in what should be a fascinating turn - stars as du Pont and if played right, could get some Oscar consideration. The supporting roles are highlighted by Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo, who play brothers Mark and David Schultz respectively. I'm very interested to see Ruffalo in this film as he has made a name for himself after performances in popular films such as Shutter Island and of course The Avengers. It would be nice to see everyone's favorite Bruce Banner get some awards love. Unfortunately, the film does not have a release date yet so I have no idea when we'll start seeing promotional material. It is expected to be released this fall, so it makes this list unless something changes. What films on this list are you looking forward to? Anything that's not on here? Let us know in the comments section!

I spend most of my free time either reading about upcoming movies, watching movies, or going to the movie theater. I enjoy watching all types of films from summer blockbusters to Oscar contending dramas. I am also a huge sports fan, rooting for the New York Giants, Knicks, and Yankees
