15 First Look Images From Upcoming Movies

Every movie you should be looking forward to in 2018 and beyond.

The Front Runner
Columbia Pictures

It's been a pretty damn good year for movies so far, with not only huge box-office smashes like Avengers: Infinity War lighting up cinemas for months at a time but more unassuming critical darlings such as First Reformed coming out of nowhere to become a front-runner for the best movie of 2018.

Somehow, though, the year is only getting started, with the upcoming months priming the projects which are the most likely to reap the rewards come the Oscars next year.

You'd be forgiven for not having even some of the biggest ones, though, as despite only being a few months off in some cases, the studios have been surprisingly quiet about them. Perhaps to avoid them getting lost in the sea of high-profile releases over the past seven months, it's taken until now for first-look images - and even a trailer here and there - to get the hype machine into full effect.

15. Holmes & Watson (2018)

Holmes and Watson
Columbia Pictures

Announced a few years ago, the upcoming Holmes & Watson spoof starring the irreplaceable double act of John C. Riley and Will Ferrell has finally unveiled the first look at its titular leads, ahead of its December 21st release date.

The second team-up between Ferrell and filmmaker Etan Cohen (director of Get Hard and scribe of comedies such as Tropic Thunder, Men in Black 3 and, er, Madagascar 2), the flick will see the iconic detectives tackle a case involving killer bees. It's looking incredibly promising, and at the very least should be better than Sherlock season 4.
