15 Fixes To Save The DC Extended Universe

8. Make Superman's Death Actually Meaningful

Easily one of the most contentious plot elements in the DCEU so far is Superman's demise at the end of Batman v Superman. It not only felt wildly unnecessary in order to defeat Doomsday, but most viewers weren't at all sold on it as his resurrection would clearly begin before the movie came to an end (as it did).

Now, Superman has been kept entirely out of the Justice League marketing so far, which hopefully suggests that the movie is going to milk his demise a little and not merely have him join the League within the first 20 minutes of the movie.

If DC wants fans to truly buy into the sacrifice Supes made, then keeping him out of at least the movie's first half would probably be a good move. Milk Superman's absence and the effect this has on both Earth and Bruce Wayne specifically, so that when he eventually resurfaces, hopefully when Earth is in a moment of need, it makes his return feel that much more triumphant.

This could be a potentially huge moment, but it really depends on whether or not Warner Bros. is comfortable risking Superman being off-screen for over an hour of the movie.
