15 Foreign Language Horror Movie Gems Hidden On Netflix

8. Dead Snow: Red Vs. Dead (2014)

You might think that this is yet another lackadaisical sequel that just wants to capitalize on what was a brilliant twist on the well-worn zombie film, transposing that most popular of undead horror onto the theme of evil Nazis rising from the dead. But it's actually anything but. This hugely entertaining follow-up is to that first film what Evil Dead II was for Sam Raimi€™s original low-budget shocker in that it takes a distinctly more comedic approach. It follows the only survivor from the first film who is taken into police custody and blamed for the murder of his friends. But when he is accidentally given an arm transplant using of the leader of the Nazi zombie army, he finds he has special powers that could help him defeat them. It€™s actually available in two versions; they filmed it in Norwegian then shot the same scenes in English, so you have the option. Either way, it's very over-the-top and ridiculously gory, not giving a second thought to taste and decency, but for full-on horror fans it€™s more fun than you could shake a zombie arm at. Available on US/Canadian Netflix
