15 Funniest Comedies Of The Last Decade

The fourth entry in Judd Apatow's incredibly impressive directorial filmography, This Is 40 might be his most important movie yet. Considering Apatow has made a living off of making funny, yet extremely honest movies, this is the one that showcases his approach to making films in the clearest possible way.

As a non-direct sequel to his second movie, Knocked Up, This Is 40 follows Pete and Debbie, played by Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann, and their two daughters, as they try - and mostly fail - to deal with the various changes going on around them in their lives.

Anyone who saw Knocked Up knows that Rudd and Mann work incredibly well together, bouncing off each other's lines with ease like they were a real married couple. While we got glimpses of it during Knocked Up, the film wasn't focused on them. However, with an entire movie dedicated to their marriage and the obstacles that come between them, we're able to shift the spotlight onto them and their relationship.

While it's not the sequel to Knocked Up that many fans of that movie wanted, it's definitely the one we didn't know we needed or deserved.
