4. Ronan Gets Defeated With A Dance - Guardians Of The Galaxy
After the Dark Aster crash-lands on Xandar, Ronan (Lee Pace) emerges and prepares to destroy the planet, but just as he's about to, he's interrupted by Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) singing a spirited rendition of The Five Stairsteps' classic tune Ooh Child, to the bemusement of everyone in the vicinity, including his own team. A confused Ronan asks what he's doing, and he replies, "Dance-off, bro. Me and you", and starts dancing. Star-Lord tries to get Gamora (Zoe Saldana) to dance as well, but she has none of it, so he keeps dancing by himself as Ronan again asks, "What are you doing!?" and he replies, "Distracting you, you big turd blossom." Drax and Rocket then shoot Ronan, allowing the Guardians to kill him with the Infinity Stone. Guardians is on the whole a rebuke to all of those self-serious comic book movies that don't have much fun, to the extent that the villain here is essentially killed thanks to a dance-off. It's ludicrously entertaining and the total opposite of what you expect from most comic book movies.
