7. Sausage Party - The Great Beyond Song

Sausage Party is a pretty out-there film. While it looks like the kind of movie Pixar would put out, it is full of raunchy humor and NSFW language that you don't see in many animated movies. But while there's plenty of gross-out humor, the film also tackles some surprisingly heavy subjects as well.

The tone for the movie is set with the opening song in which the grocery store full of talking food come together to sing a song about their devotion to their gods- but there's a not-so-hidden message to it. The song becomes a dig at the blind followers of all religions. The singing food keep reiterating that their faith in their gods will be rewarded and there's no way anything bad will happen to them. It then begins to target the hypocrisy of "true-believers" arguing that anyone who doesn't believe what they believe is stupid. By the time a jar of sauerkraut begins singing about "exterminating the juice", it becomes clear this is a movie that won't pull any punches.

It's a bold move to not only make an R-rated animated film, but to also tackle subject matter that many people take very seriously. The opening song is just a hint at how outrageous things get, but it's a hilariousy shocking tune to kick things off.
