The Movie: The psychopathic son of a mass-murdering doctor, escapes from his mental institution to seek revenge on the town where his father was caught. The Scenery-Chewing Performance: Played to absolute maniacal perfection by veteran actor Larry Drake, Dr Rendell (Dr. Giggles) is perhaps the most hilarious horror villain you're likely to ever come across, touting side-splitting medical tinged horror quips throughout the entire duration of the film. Here are some examples: 1. Before cutting a horny teens private area, he exclaims "I hope you have protection." 2. He tells an arresting cop to "have a heart" before chucking one at him. 3. He declares that its "time to do what doctors do best" before grabbing a golf club to bash someone's brains in. The list goes on and on and on. In short, Larry Drake rules this movie - his performance is weird, scary, funny and he even manages to make you feel a bit of pity for the whacked-out doctor. The end product doesn't result to a great film by any stretch of the imagination, but as guilty pleasure fodder, they rarely get as regrettably enjoyable as this.
