Okay, Ethan Hawke - as noted - has had an incredibly varied career over the years, but even he doesn't hold a candle to the sheer insanity that is Willem Dafoe's work ethic.

Dafoe is known for starring in damn near everything he's offered, regardless of genre, story or character. He's as comfortable in a Lars von Trier horror as he is in a major blockbuster action flick like Spider-Man. He's starred in war classics (Platoon), biopics (At Eternity's Gate), zany action-comedies (The Boondock Saints) and slice-of-life dramas (The Florida Project).

One of Hollywood's most prolific and hardworking actors, Dafoe has had massively successful partnerships with directors like Wes Anderson and Paul Schrader, and his best roles - as Max Schreck in Shadow of the Vampire and van Gogh in At Eternity's Gate - really should have won him an Oscar at their respective ceremonies.

With five films coming out this year alone, Dafoe is sure to add more Oscar nods to his tally in the coming years, and win the Oscar that has somehow long eluded him.

Aidan Whatman hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
