There's a case to be made that the Seoul-born American actor is yet to find a leading role deserving of his talents but his best headline showcase to date is also among one of the best psychological thrillers of recent years and worth a second look after its relative commercial underperformance.

Set on the screens of computers and smartphones effectively exclusively, it tracks a father's attempts to locate his missing teenage daughter and serves up a particularly timely critique of life lived in a permanently plugged-in state alongside the usual genre beats.

It grabbed Cho an Independent Spirit Award nomination and - with any luck - will come to further appreciation in the near-future.
