15 Greatest Dying Words Of Iconic Movie Characters

13. Chris Danson - The Other Guys

The Other GuysColumbia PicturesThe Line: "Aim for the bushes." How He Dies: Chris Danson (Dwayne Johnson) and his partner P.K. Highsmith (Samuel L. Jackson) are chasing down a gang of jewelry thieves, and in an attempt to catch them, decide to aim for said bushes, at which point they leap from the roof they're standing on, plummeting 20 stories to their deaths. Now, we understand that to many, Johnson's character may not appear to be all that iconic, but this death sequence was easily the funniest moment in The Other Guys, and has become a hit even with those who haven't seen the movie. The entire set-up hinges on Danson and Highsmith being absurdly over-confident cops who feel bullet-proof, and as they leap from the building, even we believe they'll find a way to transcend basic physics. The use of the Foo Fighters' "My Hero" only accentuates the awesomeness of the moment, and the hilarity of it when they're liquefied by the pavement and the music abruptly cuts off. These last words were so effective that they essentially rendered Danson and Highsmith iconic characters in their own rights, such that we wish they'd stuck around for a little longer. Still, with this eye-wateringly funny moment came a new phrase for running headlong into an impossible situation - just aim for the bushes!
