15 Greatest Ever Guilty Pleasure Action Movies

11. Face/Off

This movie is just bonkers. Multiple Mexican stand-offs and multiple people leaping through the air while firing two guns at once, this movie does not let up. It's the type of John Woo pop corn flick that is both watchable and eye-rollingly bad. It barely slows down long enough to give the audience any explanation for the science behind face swapping surgery and that€™s a good thing. If the movie slowed down at all you might start to wonder if anything makes sense. The acting looks like director John Woo was too busy with the action sequences and Cage and Travolta were allowed to go as big as they wanted to. They really let Nicolas Cage off the leash as Castor Troy and he does not disappoint. He truly acts like a crazy villain in this one. Once Travolta gets to the play the bad guy he also gets more entertaining and more over-the-top. The two of them are what makes this movie fun to watch but also embarrassing to admit you like. Is there a plot? There€™s something about a bomb and terrorism but it really does not matter. It€™s all just an excuse for gunfights and a boat chase that rivals most car chases. The movie is probably too long but I would not recommend skipping any of it. Best line: "I want to take his face... off. Eyes, nose, skin, teeth. It's coming off." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vlg-VRc6TbY
