5. Peter And Gwen's Kiss - The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
The best aspect of the 2012 reboot is undoubtedly the chemistry between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, arguably superior to Maguire and Kirsten Dunst's - the two actors are in a real-life relationship as well, of course. Many of the film's best scenes occur between Garfield and Stone, including the moment when Peter attempts to ask Gwen out or the touching scene where Gwen confronts Peter for not coming to her father's funeral. However, this chemistry is no better demonstrated than in the scene on Gwen Stacey's balcony when she discovers her boyfriend's rather direct connection to Spider-Man. With Garfield's trademark verbal stumbling and stuttering (which is refreshing to see in a film - we all often speak in broken sentences, unlike our on-screen counterparts) and Stone's innate wryness, the believability of the scene really comes through. A big draw for the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is to see more of one of the best movie romances in recent years. Here's hoping one certain comic book moment is not replicated in the film.
