Harry Potter is the chosen one, he was famous before he even knew of the existence of magic, and it was he who ultimately defeated and killed Lord Voldemort. It is his name on the books and in the movie titles, but it's no understatement to say that he wouldn't have even survived the trials of the Philosopher's Stone in his first year without Hermione Granger.

She is without question the strongest witch in her year, possibly of her generation, simply does not get the credit she deserves, and there are so many ways she could be given her own movie.

After the Battle of Hogwarts, Hermione returned to the school to earn her N.E.W.T qualifications, she tracked down her parents on the other side of the world to restore their memories of her, and she even became the Minister for Magic in her later life. Take your pick of story lines.

As with Neville however, there is potential for a 'what if' scenario with Hermione. She is one of the smartest witches Hogwarts has seen in some time, so what if the sorting hat put her in Ravenclaw? She automatically wouldn't have found herself friends with Harry and Ron, and wouldn't have been there to guide them and help them as often as she did. This slight change in history could have greatly altered her life, and the landscape of the entire second wizarding war could have been different had she not been as close to Harry as she was.
