15 Harry Potter Characters Who Deserve Their Own Movie

2. Severus Snape

Severus Snape is one of the most heroic characters in the Harry Potter saga, risking his life playing a double agent for Dumbledore, and protecting the boy who lived throughout his time at Hogwarts. Harry even names his son after his old potions master, but we only learn all of this after despising him for so long.

A prequel movie surrounding the character's early years and time at Hogwarts as a student would be the only way to truly do him justice, and would really be the only option since he met his demise thanks to Voldemort and Nagini.

This could almost take the form of a romantic, love triangle movie, showing Snape's infamous love for Lily that kept him loyal to her son despite hating how much of his father he could see in him.

Previously, with the exception of one flashback, we've really only seen Harry's father through his son's eyes, but this would show us how Severus saw him. As a bully. James was egotistical and seemingly picked on Snape for no reason, and showing this would not only create more empathy for the character, it could also go some way to explaining how he found himself with the Dark Mark on his arm.
