15 Harry Potter Characters Who Deserve Their Own Movie

9. Neville Longbottom

Severus Snape Goblet Of Fire
Warner Bros.

Outside of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, Neville Longbottom is probably one of the most popular Hogwarts students in the entire saga. He started out as what seemed to be a hopeless case, but helped Gryffindor to win the House Cup in his first year, showed an aptitude for herbology, and ultimately killed Nagini as an integral part of Dumbledore's Army and the Battle of Hogwarts.

A character that has gone through so much deserves to have his happy ever after story told. Neville eventually married Hannah Abbott, and after a brief stint as an auror, joined the Hogwarts staff as a Herbology teacher.

Much like Hagrid, this movie could show the aftermath of the Battle of Hogwarts, and how the school would recover under the leadership of Professor McGonnagall. The fact Neville would live with his wife at the Leaky Couldron would just be icing on the cake.

If however, Warner Bros decided to take the movie in a different direction, how about a 'what if' scenario in which Neville Longbottom was actually the chosen one rather than Harry? He was born in late July, fitting the description that was prophesised, but would this still have resulted in the second banishment of the Dark Lord? How different would life have been if Neville was the saviour of the wizarding world?

Neville isn't the only Longbottom that deserves his own movie however...
