The ultimate endgame of the Harry Potter saga was the return of Lord Voldemort and the second wizarding war. Through this we learned of the Dark Lord's past and the first wizarding war, but there was so much more to it that we didn't get to see.

While the second iteration of the Order of the Phoenix played a big part in the story, there is too much we don't know about the first order, and two characters in particular. Through Frank and Alice Longbottom, this is a story that could be told quite brilliantly.

Neville's parents played a big part in fighting Lord Voldemort the first time around, and were rewarded with a fate worse than death. As victims of Bellatrix Lestrange's Cruciatus Curse, the two were driven to madness, forced to spend the rest of their lives in St. Mungo's Hospital, missing out on raising their own son.

It's fair to say that the story of Frank and Alice is a heart breaking one, but they inspired Neville to become the hero he would eventually come to be. They are two very important characters in the wizarding world, and all the screen time they have been given is a couple of seconds in a magical photograph. This needs to change.
