15 Harry Potter Characters Who Deserve Their Own Movie
7. Barty Crouch Jr.
As he rose to power initially, Lord Voldemort amassed himself no shortage of followers, one of the most loyal and devoted of which was Barty Crouch Jr. We have seen that he posed as Mad-Eye Moody throughout the majority of Goblet of Fire, and though he was subjected to a Dementor's Kiss as punishment, it is his early years that would make for fascinating viewing.
Firstly, how exactly did Barty Jr. turn to the Dark Lord, taking the Dark Mark before he even reached 20 years of age? Was it something like teenage rebellion but on a much larger scale, or was there more to it?
Then there is his journey between joining Voldemort and his theft of Moody's identity. Along with Bellatrix Lestrange, Barty Crouch Jr. took part in the torture of Frank and Alice Longbottom, and even when he was apprehended, not even Azkaban could hold him.
Crouch became the first person to ever escape from the wizarding prison, and sent his mother back in his place under the influence of Polyjuice Potion. When she died, Azkaban and the wizarding world in general were forced to believe that the Death Eater was dead. This is on a level of evil that few dark witches or wizards could match. David Tennant could more than carry a Barty Crouch Jr. solo movie, and without one, the actor's talents seem almost wasted.
