7. They Hear It

Not every remake has to be of a feature film. Just as Christopher Nolan who remade Memento Man into Memento that time. Worked out well for him.

David Robert Mitchell is following a similar creative journey by remaking short film They Hear It in conjunction with the director of the original short, Julian Terry who will direct from Mitchell's script.

The original was another of the sensory horrors, focused on a “mysterious presence called ‘The Sound’ that once heard by anyone has terrible consequences.” It sounds great and if Terry's short films are anything to go by, it'll be another firm favourite for anyone who likes having their senses turned against them.

Its adaptation marks another step in Terry's meteoric rise. He won the “My Annabelle Creation Video Contest” with his short The Nurse, which was set in the same universe as the Conjuring.
