It seems a bit foolish to still get excited about video game movies. Even the best ones aren't all that good, but director Paul W.S. Anderson continues to find success in the sub-genre, even making a few decent flicks here and there.

After finishing off the Resident Evil franchise a few years ago, he's set his sights on yet another Capcom property, bringing the insanely popular Monster Hunter series to the big screen in 2020. As always, Milla Jovovich has been cast in the lead role, alongside Ron Perlman and martial-arts icon, Tony Jaa.

At the very least, Monster Hunter will be a whole load of fun, even if it might not quite be the breakthrough hit that proves video game adaptations can be amazing.
