Russell (Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle) once again re-teams with Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro, this time to tell the tale of Joy Mangano (Lawrence), the inventor of the Miracle Mop who became a millionaire virtually overnight. Joining the trio are Virginia Madsen, Isabella Rosselini and Edgar Ramirez. How Well Will It Do?: Russell's last three movies have all enjoyed huge critical acclaim, significant box office success and been nominated for a total of 25 Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Film Editing and Best Screenplay for each one. Even if Joy doesn't quite continue Russell's hot awards streak, it's tough to imagine the film being anything less than strongly acclaimed nevertheless. If anyone can make Oscar material out of the woman who invented the Miracle Mop, it's this guy.
