15 Incredible Movies Still To Come In 2015

2. The Hateful Eight

Release Date: December 25 (US, Limited), January 8 (US Wide & UK) The Hype: Quentin Tarantino directs a post-Civil War western starring Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, Channing Tatum, Walton Goggins and Zoe Bell. In addition, QT's regular cinematographer Robert Richardson (one of only two DPs to win three Oscars) is on board, and Ennio Morricone is composing the score, his first original composition for a western film in 40 years. How Well Will It Do?: Tarantino's critical and box office track records speak for themselves, so there's no worry for either of them, while his two previous historical movies (Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained) both netted Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay nods (and a win in the latter category for Django). With a ridiculous array of talent on board, from the cinematographer to the composer, the actors and QT himself, this one should net its fare share of nominations, though we'll have to wait and see as to whether this will translate into wins.
