15 Infamous Movie Plot Holes (That Actually Aren't)
5. How Did Bruce Get Back To Gotham? - The Dark Knight Rises
The "Plot Hole": After Bruce finally manages to escape from Bane's prison, how is he able to make his way back to Gotham in time to stop him?
Why It Actually Isn't: In honesty, "He's Batman!" is a good enough answer, but the reason this is so often cited as a "plot hole" is because Christopher Nolan does a fairly terrible job of depicting the passage of time throughout the film, so it seems like Bruce gets state-side a lot faster than he actually does.
In fact, Bruce has around 10 days to get back to Gotham, which even with his recent financial troubles courtesy of Bane, he could surely figure out. Nolan could've edited the third act much more coherently, yes, but considering how uninteresting the how and why of him making his way back really is, it was a smart decision not to show it.
It seems that some need every last detail spoon-fed to them rather than being prepared to use their imagination in a movie where a billionaire who dresses up like a bat gets his back repeatedly punched into working order. Come on.
