The "Plot Hole": Among the various strict rules that come with looking after a Gremlin, it's stated that they shouldn't be fed after midnight, but what does this mean exactly?

How many hours into the next day must pass before the rule expires and Gizmo can be fed again? And what about time zones? And what if you took him on a plane?

Why It Actually Isn't: There are some fairly obvious answers here to dispel a rather nitpicky attempt to find a plot hole in a classic movie: just because a film doesn't tell you something doesn't make it a plot hole.

For one, it could simply mean that Gizmo shouldn't be fed from midnight until sunrise in whatever country he is residing. Alternatively, if Gizmo's still awake after midnight, he shouldn't be fed until he's gone to sleep and woken up again in the morning.

The gist is "don't feed them when it's dark after midnight". It's not that hard to understand.
