15 Insufferable Horror Movie Characters You Secretly WANTED To Die

You can always rely on horror films to bring out your inner psychopath.

Horror movies, perhaps more than any other genre, are full of hateful monsters, psychopaths and villains whose deaths will be celebrated by audiences and the film's characters alike.

That being said, often such villains will be egged on by the audience too, since the horror genre is full of characters who are supposed to be the good guys, but are instead completely unbearable to watch, meaning it's very hard to root for their survival.

These following fifteen horror movies all offer epitomising examples of this. These characters vary considerably: some are infuriatingly idiotic, some were responsible for the horrific events of their film and some are just downright vile, but they all have one thing in common: no matter how much of a pacifist you are, you'll be hoping that they don't make it to the end.

Unfortunately, some of these characters actually survive...

15. Tammy And Andy - 28 Weeks Later

Unfriended 2014
20th Century Fox

Meet Tammy and Andy: the world's dumbest kids.

This first pick is a bit of an anomaly since, in terms of personality, Tammy (Imogen Poots) and Andy (Mackintosh Muggleton), two young siblings, are largely fine. It's more that they are so stupid they genuinely defy belief.

A NATO force is trying to get Britain running again after a devastating zombie pandemic. Tammy and Andy are now living in the London safe zone with their father; their mother apparently died in a zombie attack and they're worried that they'll forget what she looks like, so what do they do? They sneak out of the safe zone into London and visit their old home just to get a photograph.

Seriously? Seriously?!

As a consequence of them breaking quarantine there's a new zombie outbreak, so these idiots are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.

Yes, they're young, but given that they made such a selfish, reckless decision to break quarantine, it's hard not to root for the zombies in this case.

Infuriatingly, not only are they the only noteworthy characters to survive, but we're also forced to watch several other characters sacrifice themselves to protect them since they are immune to the virus and might be the key to a cure.
