15 Interesting Facts About The Daniel Craig Bond Films

8. Sean Connery Was The Initial Choice To Play Kincade

Though Albert Finney was a fine choice to play the Skyfall gamesmaster Kincade, the original choice for the part was much more exciting. That€™s because the role of Kincade was originally intended for the very first James Bond, Sean Connery.

Unfortunately for the fans, this was never seriously pursued and was only entertained early on during production. Correctly, those involved believed that Connery€™s presence would take audiences out of the movie and decided against it. He would have been distracting but nevertheless, it€™s very exciting to think that the film centred around Bond€™s past almost found room to include the actor who made the character famous.

It€™s best not to lose too much sleep over this since it seems unlikely that he would have even done it. Connery refused to come out of retirement for a cameo in Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull so why would this be any different?
