15 Intriguing Pieces Of British Film Trivia

7. Oliver! (1968) During the scene where Oliver sees Fagin's hoard, Mark Lester's performance was apparently not good enough. They re-shot the scene and the director Carol Reed hid a small white rabbit in his pocket and stood in Mark Lester's view. When the box of treasure is opened, Reed pulled the small rabbit from his pocket. It was Mark Lester's reaction to seeing the rabbit appear that was used in the film. Four Weddings And A Funeral (1994) The film began life when Richard Curtis, the writer, was reading his old diaries and came to the realisation that he had been to 72 weddings in 10 years. Further, Hugh Grant had to learn BSL for the film, as his character's brother's actor David Bower is actually deaf.
