15 Kids Movie Moments That Felt More Like Horror Films

4. Judge Doom's Death - Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1988)

Granted, Who Framed Roger Rabbit was probably aimed at a slightly older demographic than most of the films on this list, but given that it features a bunch of popular animated characters from both Disney and Warner Bros. studios, kids were definitely going to go and see it. The antagonist of the proceedings, Judge Doom is a crazed whack job whose partial animation only serves to better transmit his fear factor. Evil by night, slightly less evil by day when he poses as a city official, his itinerary for Toontown is to wipe the city of all toons so he can build a freeway. To him, all toons are vermin scum that need to be exterminated. That€™s a lot of hatred commanding screen time in what most parents assumed would be a fun trip to the cinema for the whole family. Ultimately Doom gets run over by a steamroller. He refuses to stay down and bounces across the room, turning his eyes into weapons, obviously. When he is eventually killed, he melts, screaming into a pool of acid (Dip). If the lesson is to never to trust government officials, the film made its point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSTL3AidX4o
