5. Doctor Strange Brings The... Weird (Doctor Strange)
There are a few complaints about the formulaic approach Marvel Studios has had in regards to the plot of their films, namely that the third act of every single MCU movie to date is an extended fight scene full of CGI. This particular complaint is not necessarily unwarranted as the films speak for themselves. However, if theres one upcoming brawl to end them all that wont feel as if its a re-tread (i.e. hordes of Chitauri versus hordes of robots), its the climax of Doctor Strange. From all accounts, the final battle of Doctor Strange is going to be equivalent to dropping acid in a ball-pit filled with strobe lights (something I recommend doing only after all the children have left). Cars levitate in formation, buildings twist and turn a la Inception, cosmic visuals saturated in insane colours If theres any MCU film that will truly stand out from the crowd, its the debut of the Sorcerer Supreme and the ramifications a battle between sorcerers will have on the location will be a visual treat.
