8. Rhino (The Amazing Spider-Man 2)
When Paul Giamatti was cast as Aleksei Sytsevich AKA the Rhino in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, a few eyebrows were raised. Giamatti is a fantastic actor, but the character of Rhino seemed to be a far cry from his usual roles. However, having seen the emotion and effort that he seems to be putting in to the role in various leaked photos and press shots, everyone suddenly became positive about the prospect. The Rhino character will utilise CGI with motion capture from Giamatti's own movements and it looks as if it's going to be great. The Rhino is a phenomenally strong opponent with increased durability, thanks both to his powers and a suit that augments his damage resistance. In the comics, the character is known for being humorously dumb and it will be very funny, and indeed interesting, to see Giamatti's take on the guy.
