15 Most Disappointing Movies Of 2016
3. Suicide Squad
David Ayer's supervillain flick may have been a massive box office smash, but the actual product itself was disappointingly mediocre.
Clearly hacked to pieces by a studio that seemingly can't help themselves, Suicide Squad has moments of inspiration peppered throughout, but for all of its vibrant personality, is undone by a thoroughly uninteresting central narrative.
More than anything, though, it's Cara Delevingne's hilariously awful performance as the dull villain Enchantress that sinks the film in its latter stages, leading to yet another tedious beam-in-the-sky finale.
The performances of the titular group are all good-to-great (especially Margot Robbie and Will Smith as Harley Quinn and Deadshot), but the squad dynamic feels forced, and the tone is an absolute mess.
Plus, what the Hell was up with Jared Leto's Joker in this movie? It's kinda hard to settle on whether he was good or bad, given how little he's actually in the film.
