15 Most Disappointing Movies Of The 2020s (So Far)

8. The Hunt

And the award for 'Most Disappointing Horror Film of the 2020s So Far' goes to... The Hunt. And it's not even close.

The fact that such a great concept was wasted on such a messy, shallow horror flick was bad enough, but what made it worse is that there'd been so much fuss and hype about it before release. Like most of the films on this list it was delayed, but not because of the pandemic. It was delayed thanks to controversy over its content and also in the wake of several high-profile mass shootings.

All of this certainly added to the intrigue, but once the film arrived it was hard to believe that this was the movie the world had been stressing over.

Not only had people completely misunderstood what the film is actually about - it's a film in which conservatives fight back against liberal villains hunting them for sport - but it's actually a fairly tame affair that really doesn't do anything very bold or graphic.
